Talent Audit
Why there are only five modules
The product is small on purpose. Five modules, one record per role and per person — and a list of things we left out on purpose.

A system is only worth anything if it stays current. That is the whole reason the product has five modules and not twenty-five: at 10 to 150 people, the failure mode is never a missing feature. It is a feature nobody updates after the second month.
Team Inflection is an HR operating system with two parts: the ABCD talent audit and the talent pipeline. Both run in one process, and the five modules are what keep that process true. Simple team management software for small businesses, in the narrow sense: the roles, the record and the cycle, and nothing that needs a department to keep it alive.
01 · Company
Set up once: profile, audit periods, team members and who may see what. Half an hour, and you never configure it again.
02 · Roles & Clarity Checker
Define what each role owns, with guided templates and AI-assisted descriptions, then check it for the overlaps that cause most of the friction in a growing team — two people owning the same outcome, or nobody owning it at all.
03 · People
Profiles, role history, compensation and performance. One record per person, with AI reminders that resurface the next conversation at the right moment instead of living in a manager's head.
04 · Cycles
Schedule an audit cycle, assign participants and track progress through to calibration. The point of a cycle is not the ceremony — it is that every role gets looked at on a rhythm, not only when something goes wrong.
05 · Assessments
Guided ABCD assessments, benchmarked against the role scorecard, with AI-assisted summaries. The rating, the evidence and the next action end up in the same place — which is what makes the next decision explainable.
What we left out on purpose
- Payroll, benefits and HR administration. Other tools do this well; we are not one of them.
- Employee engagement surveys. A score you cannot act on is another dashboard nobody opens.
- Document e-signature paperwork. Not a people decision.
- A 30-module enterprise suite. Every module you add is another thing that goes stale in a company without an HR department.
The test we apply to every feature request is the same: does this help a founder or manager explain a people decision in two minutes, from a record that is still true? If it does not, it does not belong in the product.
How the five fit into one week
Roles are defined once. A cycle runs on a rhythm. Assessments land on the person with their evidence. Decisions are made with the history in front of the manager, not from memory. And the next cycle starts faster, because the record is already there.
An afternoon to set up, ten minutes a week to keep. That is the whole promise — and it is the reason we kept the product small.
